There are a number of different file formats available for download on Local Government websites and also this site.  All downloads should feature the name of the format and often the file size.

Objectives of the Group

E-mail Print PDF

The objectives of the Group shall be :-

To seek the protection of the Allestree area from development considered to be inappropriate, particularly where the demolition of sound and architecturally harmonious dwelling houses or other buildings is proposed.

Circumstances under which objections to planning proposals may be made includes but is not limited to

  • Any development where the style and type of proposed buildings are not in keeping with those already in existence in the immediate vicinity

  • Any development where the scale and density is not in keeping with those already existing in the immediate vicinity

  • Any infill development that involves the destruction of established, cultivated gardens

  • Any development where the local services, (schools, doctors, dentists) will be placed under unacceptable levels of stress through a large increase in people requesting such services, such that those services operate outside established government or professional regulating body guidelines

  • Any developments that will add recognised stress on local transport corridors.

The Group does not oppose small scale private developments such as extensions, conservatories or rebuilding provided that they fall within planning law as governed by Planning Policy Statement 3 dated April 2007 and are appropriate to the existing buildings and character of the area

The Group seeks to support other groups with the same objectives and welcomes support from other groups anywhere in the country

The Group will act by whatever means available to them within the law to get gardens removed from the brownfield sites designation in the present planning legislation

The Group will ensure that Allestree residents are aware of all planning applications in their immediate area
