A group of concerned local residents started to talk to each other! This quickly snowballed, and Allestree people started to realise that many others shared the same concerns: that Allestree is changing in landscape, and in environment. Gardens are under threat, and lovely buildings are being destroyed.

    An action group decided to meet, and take up the mantel of preserving the Allestree that we love.

Members of this group have shared information, and supported each other in filling in gaps, and sharing details with the wider community. We were horrified at the number of local  residents who knew little or nothing about these developers ravaging our neighbourhood.

    It seemed only a small step to decide to set up this website, and gather Allestree residents together to act lawfully and reasonably, to protect our environment, and this is what we urge you to do too. Join Us.

    We have interest and support from all areas  of Allestree, including residents on Duffield Rd, Ford Lane, Lambourn Drive, Home Farm Drive, Gisborne Crescent, Kings Croft, Park Lane, Cavendish Ave and it's growing every day. Neighbours are joining together in a positive way to combat these unpleasant and unnecessary changes.
